Don't deceive yourself. Confidence comes from competence. It is not about saying you are a techie on social media for validity & feeling among. The next level after learning anything is to validate your knowledge by building something and getting it used at least by your network and reviewed by experienced people. You can ignore this advice if you are okay with mediocrity.

What’s the single best advice you’d give someone just starting out in tech right now??

@techyprince That is what I meant by “realizing who their real competitors are and the advantage they still have.” They have corporate distribution, and corporate has data and unique needs. That is why Satya wrote his recent post on rethinking AI. They wasted too much time and resources.

Microsoft's AI gamble makes me chuckle, as they got so many things wrong because of hubris. They are now realizing who their real competitors are and the advantage they still have. Meta is a dumpster fire. Google is the only one that played it right, but still has significant issues. Apple is the smartest out of all of them. They simply waited to see it all play out.

Every major jump in my career came from focusing on one thing long enough to become useful, not from trying to learn everything at once or picking up the coolest thing. The payoff always arrived after a season of focused work that looked pointless to everyone else.

@omoalhajaabiola You see that Gulf region ehn, na serious money base. One client from there fit retire you. The guy whose story I shared before, the one that clocked $1k on Upwork, had his major client from KSA. Later sef, they moved from upwork, to discussing full time relocation offers.

I’ve discovered that deeptech giants (climate tech, biotech companies, quantum computing, etc) spend heavily on technical b2b content Together with healthcare IT companies in KSA and GRC content in Qatar, I might have unlocked a new client stream. Alpha

Jeff Su just posted one of the best AI roadmap videos I've seen this year. "How I Would Learn AI in 2026" Go watch this and share what you build 👨‍💻 Biggest takeaway: Understand the available options, then go deep on one. youtu.be/msFxQ7OYPj8?is…

Nice for completing the playlist. If you get this cert, you'll be one of its earliest holders. It goes without saying, you must build projects to showcase your skills & value. Start applying from Day 1, but the more projects, the better your chances. At least a end-end pipeline, processing messy data, proper Medallion layers, deployed via DABs. Put it on GitHub.
Nuel@_Bullish_trader

@techyprince Yeah, I managed to finish a playlist :”implementing data engineering solutions using azure data bricks”and the certification voicher I would be given is DP-750, hopefully on June 19th, I’d receive the voucher. If I pass the exam, can I apply to jobs with it or build more project?

There's literally zero excuse not to earn these days. Just a little effort & some agency. Last week, Microsoft had the AI skills fest with free cert vouchers upon completion. Employers in UK, Germany and Spain are actively looking for those certs.

@monkmage @omoalhajaabiola From the tweet, the entry bar seems lower than what you already have. They asked for an idea, and you already have something in progress, so give it a shot. The most important thing is making sure what you're building aligns with the criteria they outlined.

Do you have an idea for software that could improve education? Assembly Code is accepting applications for our first incubator cohort. Here's how it works: → You bring a project idea for improving education at any age → We provide a $15K stipend over three months (part-time, remote) → You build it, test it, and demonstrate impact at small scale → Strong projects may receive follow-on funding and long-term support AI has changed the math on what individuals and small teams can create. We're looking for builders who understand a real problem in education, have a track record of shipping quality software, and can move quickly by embracing AI. Assembly Code is a nonprofit incubator for public-interest software, helping projects grow from idea to scale under one umbrella organization. Apply now at assemblycode.org. Deadline is Sunday, June 28.

I wonder why many founders don’t explore Debt Financing (I understand the fear but I believe it’s good leverage) I’m presently trying to experiment with a startup, grant them debt financing through an MFB & see how things unfold from there.
Timmy | Evolution@timmyisagod

If you are a founder trying to raise money for your startup , here are the different ways which you can use to raise money and finance your startup 1. Equity Financing - Sell a percentage of your company in exchange for capital. 2. Debt Financing - Borrow money from banks, lenders, or institutions and repay with interest. 3. Convertible Notes - A loan that converts into equity during a future funding round. 4. SAFE (Simple Agreement for Future Equity) - Investors provide capital today in exchange for future equity, usually at the next fundraising round. 5. Revenue-Based Financing - Raise capital and repay investors a percentage of future revenue until a predetermined amount is paid back. 6. Crowdfunding - Raise small amounts of money from many people through platforms or communities. 7. Grants - Non-dilutive funding from governments, foundations, accelerators, or ecosystem programs. 8. Venture Debt - Specialized loans provided to venture-backed startups to extend runway without immediate dilution. 9. Strategic Partnerships - Secure funding, credits, or investment from larger companies that benefit from your growth. 10. Customer Financing (Pre-sales) - Collect payment upfront for products or services before delivery, effectively using customers to finance growth. 11. Invoice Financing / Factoring - Borrow against unpaid invoices to improve cash flow. 13. Asset-Backed Financing - Use company assets, inventory, equipment, or receivables as collateral for funding. 14. Accelerators & Incubators - Programs that provide capital, mentorship, credits, and resources in exchange for equity or participation. 15. Founder Financing - Capital injected by founders through personal savings or loans. 16. Friends & Family Round - Early-stage funding from personal networks, often before institutional investors get involved. Kindly share to founders who might need this

Those moments also remind us to be more grateful and the need to save for raining days. It maybe occasional for you but it is the reality of many. Lately, I have found myself appreciating life, health, family, income more. It's not given I swear. It looks basic and normal to you but many wish they had even a quarter of the life you have. In a world obsessed with billionaires, valuations, and now trillion dollar companies, it's easy to lose sight of how fortunate we already are.

It can be excruciatingly painful and hopeless for a man not to have hope of relief or rescue. Like not expecting money from anywhere. Just struggling and sinking. It hits the soul hard
