You need to bring proof of upcoming travel to the appointment, so it seems like it *has* to work.

Booked an international flight even though I have an expired passport. It looks like I can make an appointment in SF to renew but not until 2 weeks before travel. Will this work or am I screwed?

@esammer Yep, two different things. It's hard to hire for data platform engineers because there are so many data engineers out there. Recruiters aren't usually good at telling the difference.

I think we should stop conflating platform development with the development of jobs or apps that run on a platform. Data platform engineers are the former, data engineers are the latter to me.

@NoOrdinaryMeeps Not Alone is great for that. It's very head to head competitive in a battle of wits sort of way. It's short enough that length isn't a barrier, but it's long enough for the stakes to feel high.
