Here's a quick primer to artistic moral rights. If you're an artist, it's absolutely crucial that you're aware of these. As an artist, you basically have two kinds of rights: legal copyrights, and moral rights. Your copyrights outline commercial and legal protections for your work, while moral rights is a more abstract concept that protects how your work can be used and by whom. Moral rights include things like Right of attribution (you must be credited accordingly) Right of integrity (your work can't be distorted or mutilated in ways that go against your values) Right of disclosure (you decide when and if to publish) Right of withdrawal (you can remove your work from circulation at any time) In Europe, moral rights are taken extremely seriously. They're considered fundamental to artistic dignity and are often inalienable, meaning you can't even give them up contractually. In the US they're almost nonexistent. Americans have one narrow law called VARA, which only covers visual arts in very limited circumstances. Everything else is just economic copyright. This gap matters hugely for AI. European artists have legal frameworks protecting their work from unauthorized use that goes beyond economic harm. American artists mostly don't. So when you see different reactions to AI across the Atlantic, you're seeing the result of fundamentally different legal and cultural frameworks around what it means to be an artist. Educate yourself. Know your rights as a creative 💕✨

Ich befürchte leider, dass ich dieses Wochenende nicht streamen kann. Juna & Ich sind schon einige Tage krank, ich komme logischerweise nicht wirklich zum Ausruhen, und Sprechen tut immer noch abartig weh D: Das ist doch einfach nur doof 🥲
