Beauty of music and nature 🌺🌺
A man came across a female swan that was very anxious, panicked, and disoriented. He gently guided, directed, and assisted the swan toward a nearby river. Gradually, the swan calmed down and returned to the water, where her mate was anxiously waiting 💖

In 1943, Swiss chemist Albert Hofmann accidentally absorbed a tiny amount of LSD through his fingertips and spent the afternoon mildly hallucinating at his desk. Three days later he accidentally took 10 times than the standard recreational dose. He drank what he believed was a cautiously small dose, and unknowingly took ten times a modern recreational amount with no frame of reference whatsoever. At precisely 4:20pm on April 19, Hofmann dissolved 250 micrograms in water and drank it. By 5:00pm his lab journal entries were deteriorating. Dizziness. Anxiety. Visual disturbance. Writing became impossible. He asked his assistant to take him home. Wartime Basel had banned private cars, so the only option was a bicycle. He spent the ride convinced his neighbour was a witch and that he had gone permanently insane. April 19 is now celebrated annually as Bicycle Day. Hofmann later discovered that 20 to 30 micrograms were sufficient for noticeable effects. He had taken more than twelve times that amount. He lived to 102, took small doses for the rest of his life, and called LSD his "problem child." He never regretted discovering it.

The Penanggalan is a terrifying creature from Southeast Asian folklore, particularly associated with Malaysia. It is one of the most well-known supernatural beings in the region and is often described as a vampire-like spirit that hides among ordinary people. During the day, the Penanggalan appears as a normal woman and can live unnoticed within a community. At night, however, it undergoes a horrifying transformation. Its head separates from its body and flies through the air, trailing its internal organs beneath it. These dangling organs are often described as glowing or glistening in the darkness, creating a frightening sight for anyone who encounters it. The detached head is able to move silently through villages and across the countryside in search of victims. According to folklore, the Penanggalan feeds on blood and is especially drawn to pregnant women, new mothers, and infants. It is said to sneak close to homes at night, searching for vulnerable victims while they sleep. Because of this, many traditional beliefs focused on protecting households from its approach. While its head is away hunting, the Penanggalan must hide its body in a secure location. Stories often describe it concealing the body inside a house, a hut, or another secluded place until dawn. Before sunrise, the head must return and reattach itself to the body in order to appear human again. Many traditional practices were believed to protect against the creature. Villagers sometimes placed thorny plants, sharp branches, or other barriers around windows and doors. According to legend, these obstacles could injure the hanging organs of the Penanggalan and prevent it from entering a home. © Terrifying Earth #drthehistories

This moment takes on a whole new meaning when you realize that, in the book, Katniss had only one chance to alter the course of history. With her single arrow, she chose to eliminate the emerging tyrant, leaving the old one to face the judgment of the crowd.
