@ticoverse not to mention sega saturn emulation has been proven to be possible on the nintendo switch since ~2021 and you claim to have the first emulator running on the switch? just seems sketchy.

@ticoverse well JIT is a necessity for dolphin, and one reason why many developers haven’t taken on the task of porting it. how did you manage to get around that?
also the switch doesn’t have a Vulkan driver available for homebrew development (afaik) and OpenGL would run horribly.

Olha que loucura, esse é o emulador de Nintendo Wii U para iOS, MeloCafe.
Ele tá rodando Super Mario 3D World em um iPad Air M1, sem JIT, está usando um interpretador (emulação mais lenta) e ainda assim tem uma performance surpreendente!

A couple of things about iPSX2:
- It's based on ARMSX2, which is an unofficial fork of PCSX2
- It's vibe coded
- It's closed source, violating GPL licensing
- It has to be sideloaded
- it does support JIT (benefit of sideload vs app store)

PS2 emulation just landed on iPhone. And yes… it supports JIT. iPSX2 is a new PS2 emulator for iOS, ported from PCSX2 / ARMSX2. Here’s what makes it interesting: • JIT support for better performance • Based on PCSX2 core • Fully AI-assisted port • Working on iOS 18+ This is still early, but: PS2 on iOS is getting real now.

For those wondering Kingdom Hearts Coded runs at 15fps by default. Increasing beyond will just break the game due to everything being tied to the FPS. In which case my hardware renderer took it from maybe 4-5 fps to a 15 fps cap. This is pretty normal for mobile games in 2008.

Eu acho um absurdo n ter um emulador de saturn pra switch! Eu vi uns cara fazendo umas gambiarras absurdas pra jogar uns jogos de saturn no switch mas eu n consegui entender muito bem o processo.
