Is it time to get rid of pleasantries in emails and messaging? I mean the old "How are you/how have you been" to someone you *hardly know* and we both know, don't we, that they don't care. #grumpy #gettothepoint

@timdanton There's a spectrum. Literally. And people who do nicities in emails tend to be towards one end of it whilst those who get straight to the point without a pleasantry trend to be more towards the other end. I think.

I'm not overly fussy about places getting apostrophes wrong, but at least get them wrong consistently. You'll need to zoom into the small print for the full horror. #johnlewis
