I'm regularly asked by Black people outside of Canada if it's better than the US, and without hesitation I say "No." Canada is just as racist and prejudiced for Black and Indigenious people, though people like to pretend it isn't b/c they live in Toronto. There are sundown towns.

I read this story & was horrified, but not surpised. When these types of things happen in small town US, it's news. This should be mainstream news, but it is hidden to keep the "nice Canadian trope". I hope they are shamed and sued into oblivion. byblacks.com/news/item/3880…

Bruh. We actually need to sit down and start a proper discussion about Nigerian businesses becoming violent bullies to their customers. You can’t post an honest review anymore because the business will try to sue you for “defamation” and get the police to come and arrest you??
