I've noticed this with content as well. I've gotten some comments from people basically saying they are boycotting any content from the set, which probably explains it.

@SaffronOlive @CardmarketMagic I think Wizards focusing on a casual format made it distinctly worse. I would like to see them focusing more on making Standard good and accessible. UB Eternal only, two year rotation, comp chase cards at rare, things like that. But since we know that won't happen...🤷🏽‍♂️

Anyone else start playing commander in an era where nobody policed anything anyone wanted to play pre-game and we all just played what we wanted and then teamed up on whoever the bad guy was at the time, and then we all laughed about it and then went out for tacos?

@StarCityGames I would probably take Dranith Magistrate off. I could see adding Nykthos. I would ban Sol Ring. But genuinely none of those are a big deal to me.

@SteelCitySteph I bought like 10 Lutris because I figured folks would complain enough to get it unbanned. (I think before they even "fixed" companion.) That having been said, I think this was the best way to unban the otter.

@SaffronOlive My big issue with cEDH splitting into its own format is that, we will be talking about whatever meta replaces cEDH splitting off from casual EDH within 5 years. Magic players break formats its one of the few universal truths of this game. 🤷🏽‍♂️🤷🏽‍♂️🤷🏽‍♂️

I've seen some posts from CEDH players upset that the Commander ban list doesn't cater enough to their style of play. I don't think you can both have CEDH be part of Commander and have the ban list cater to CEDH. If you want control of the ban list, be your own format and manage it however you want like Premodern or Duel Commander, otherwise accept that the ban list is for the 95-ish % that play causal Commander, not the 5-ish % that play CEDH (couldn't find real numbers, but clearly casual Commander has a huge majority of players). When it's a card that is only relevant for CEDH (Flash, Thoracle) I'm fine with the CEDH community deciding what to do with that card, but for cards that would heavily impact casual (Griselbrand, for example), I believe the ban list should do what's best for the 95%, not the 5%.
