I prefer Archive / Delete aggressively to get back to zero inbox (to reach true zen enlightenment) . Not sure I could handle seeing the full volume of historic 'read' stuff in the main inbox pane..

The one true email hygiene strategy:
- all emails stay in inbox, no folders / rules
- unread means “not dealt with yet”. Mark read immediately once actioned /ignored
- ruthlessly unsub from marketing lists
- retain all emails in inbox forever
- use search to time travel

Every once in a while I'm reminded that dnsmasq, a lightweight DNS and DHCP server that's bundled into *almost every IOT thing and Linux distro*, is a hobby project maintained by one guy in the UK named Simon.
Nobody pays him and he doesn't get near the thanks he deserves.
