Did anyone else get on the #sourdough train in 2020? Cloud City is proud to have worked with @tryBreadwinner a sourdough starter sensor and social network. Our principal designer tried out Breadwinner and had a ton of fun. Read about his experience: buff.ly/3FM4UJW

This is exactly what we're hoping to discern! As more starters come online, we'll have a wealth of data to dig through that should help us correlate some basic trends around temperature, feeding frequency, etc. We'll also know who has the fastest starter in town :)

I took my starter out of hibernation in the fridge. These are the first three daily feedings per @tryBreadwinner's data. The first one was very slow, 2nd fast, and 3rd (last night) had very rapid growth. If I want to ferment at a reasonable time I need to feed in the morning.

@imightbemary @seanjtaylor Rob Dunn was a huge inspiration to us :)

@seanjtaylor @tryBreadwinner oh that little device to sit on top of your starter jar is pretty cool! i have a bit of fomo from not getting my starter genetically sequenced by the Rob Dunn lab a couple years back, so I'd be curious to hear how you like using that thing
