Binged all of The Chestnut Man season 2 in a night. It felt a little easier to figure out than season 1, but absolutely solid Nordic crime noir. Really enjoy this series, hope they’ll make more of it 🥲

2026 is an incredible year for me so far. Celebrated my 40th birthday and 10 years in Japan, finalised my divorce (4+ years in the making), celebrating 1 year of living by myself in my own place….. no idea where I’ll be at the end of the year, but the start has been awesome.

I got talked into buying a ticket for a band’s debut live while I was drunk out of my skull at a hanami a couple of weeks ago. The concert was today. Everyone who recognized me led the convo with “覚えてる？” (“do you remember who tf I am, because you were wasted!)
