Yup, platform activity is surging. There were 1 billion commits in 2025. Now, it's 275 million per week, on pace for 14 billion this year if growth remains linear (spoiler: it won't.) GitHub Actions has grown from 500M minutes/week in 2023 to 1B minutes/week in 2025, and now 2.1B minutes so far this week. So we're pushing incredibly hard on more CPUs, scaling services, and strengthening GitHub’s core features. And as a fine purveyor of hand-crafted shit code for many years, I'm not gonna weigh in on that. 🤣

Does anybody know how they did the rain effects on the lens in Drive Club (2014)? Are they particles with motion vectors and blur applied or did they just cleverly loop actual video of blown water? Something else?

@profleonn Yeah. Cursor + GLM plan. Cursor is fast, has good limits, plus I can do all my regular IDE things on it. Just a good dev experience

I've laughed at the posts from our Japanese friends on X speculating that all Americans carry a gun everywhere. Some Americans do, but many more of us carry a knife daily. We call it our EDC (Every Day Carry) This is my favorite knife to carry. I have about 120 others.

Seriously, fuck Swiss-made watch tools. Fuck Bergeon. Fuck all of them. The Bergeon 6764 “watch stem cutting tool” is literally just a Knipex end cutter with a watchmaker tax slapped on top. Same fucking pliers, 5x the price. They’re selling 20 euro pliers for 100 euros and acting like it’s some sacred horological instrument. This is un-fucking-believable. Seriously, fuck them bro. When I see shit like this, I genuinely start thinking everything I ever bought from them is a fucking scam. Fucking shameless.
