4 weeks ago I started an investing experiment. I'm 21, still in university, and have no complex strategy.🇿🇦 Instead of spending R1,000 ($60) on a night out, I invested it. Then I did it again the next week. And the week after that. My strategy has been weekly Dollar Cost Averaging - and I'm up 5.1% in 4 weeks. Total invested: R4,000 ($238.60) Current portfolio value: R4,205 ($250.83) Weeks 1-3 I invested into Bitcoin, Gold, and the VALR 10 bundle - a basket of the top 10 cryptocurrencies. Week 4 I added Nvidia. To put it in perspective - the average South African instant access savings account gives 3-8% per year. I'm at 5.1% in a month.
