In 2021 our portfolio company Fridge No More raised $19M and opened 49 stores in NYC, employed 300 people and was able to deliver goods to your door in under 15 minutes, paying above minimum wage to couriers (they were actually so happy with their jobs they offered to work for free when the company couldn’t get funding). Unlike Mamdani’s store they had to pay rent and taxes.
This is $387K per store including all the R&D, CapEX, and a central processing facility.
Somehow when a socialist politician is trying to do that it’s 100x more and takes 3 years. Remember my words it will not end at $30M. Very soon they’ll ask for more.

It should be a much bigger story that JD Vance flew to Hungary, stood on a campaign stage, and told voters to return a head of government widely documented for human rights abuses and democratic backsliding.
Then, after his candidate lost, Vance said what had happened during the Hungarian campaign was “one of the worst examples of foreign election interference that I’ve ever seen or ever even read about.”
Was he describing himself?
The Hungarian people rejected it all. Democracy held, despite America’s intervention, not because of American leadership.
The United States has long argued that elections should be free from outside influence.
That standard should apply to everyone, including us.

How on earth can it cost $30 million and three years for the NYC government to build a grocery store in Harlem? There are *dozens* of grocery stores for sale, all over New York City, for less than $5M. Many are less than $1M. This seems like a scam. (or vanity project)

I stopped writing about Johnson because he's just so inconceivably terrible that it felt like my readers would grow bored with any sort of proper accounting. But rest assured, scenes like this are a weekly occurrence.
