WordPress developers are landing jobs on upwork daily. If the market is saturated the bee the element elementor guy. The woo commerce guy etc. And look for clients that are new, a client who has spent $10k or $200k won't hire someone with zero clients or reviews but anyone who have spent less than $10k will give you a chance.

If you've never landed a gig on Upwork yet, use this strategy and bookmark this. I was on Upwork for 7 years. Two clients liked my work so much that they hired me full-time and 3 years later I'm still working with them. Here's what actually works: 1. Boosting proposals won't land you gigs. Your experience will. 2. Clients want results, not resumes. Be specific. Show your work. Describe exactly how you solve problems. 3. Specialize. A Webflow client doesn't want a WordPress dev. A WordPress client doesn't want a React dev, be the guy or lady they want. 4. Use a professional photo. Seriously. My whole account was built on one promise: if your software has a bug, I'm your guy. Be the person who screams "I can solve YOUR problem" not "I can do everything."
