She works Monday to Friday and usually comes over to my place every Friday evening, then heads back to work Monday morning. That particular Friday, we spoke around 4pm. She was supposed to close by 6pm, so normally she’d be at mine by 8 or 9pm. But that night, something felt off. I started calling but nothing, her phone was switched off. I kept trying all through the night. Still off. At that point, I was already worried sick, I couldn’t sleep. By Saturday morning, I couldn’t take it anymore.
