That’s why wave is best. Wave is E2EE by deafult and we don’t have any central server for managing who is chatting with who. everything on Wave is decentralized and encrypted. Even your username is encrypted with the message. We built wave this way. because we don’t want to store any user data.

WhatsApp’s “E2E encryption by default” claim is a giant consumer fraud: ~95% of private messages on WhatsApp end up in plain-text backups on Apple/Google servers — not E2E-encrypted. Backup encryption is optional, and few people enable it — let alone use strong passwords.

This shows that people genuinely need a truly privacy focused messaging app. We’re glad we’re fulfilling that need.

That’s why Telegram Secret Chats never show message content in push notifications. Since 2013, Secret Chats have remained the most secure usable way to communicate. US gov funded Signal has too many questionable dependencies on other US companies (AWS, MS, Intel SGX…)

@wavemsgs @liznilend That’s exactly why your app will never be truly popular: you’re providing one small feature of Telegram as a your entire app, wrongly assuming that removing the rest of the functionality somehow makes your app superior. Getting critical mass without usability is very difficult.

In one day we got major privacy concerns from two big messaging apps Whatsapp and Signal.
The common problem are they run on central server and they show the msg content as notification.
Wave is safe on both cases.
