Meet @aztecnetwork . Aztec is a privacy-focused Ethereum L2. They launched a public testnet on May 1, 2025, which attracted users and node operators to interact with the network and send transactions. Over 20,000 users participated and 10 apps were live on the testnet soon after launch. They've recently launched a public token sale from Dec 2 to Dec 6, 2025 with (FDV) of ~$486M+ , now listed around $190M FDV. New to @zama, so I took time to actually understand FHE instead of repeating buzzwords. Here’s the cleanest way to think about it : Fully Homomorphic Encryption (FHE) is one of those ideas that sounds impossible until you see it work. In simple terms: FHE lets you compute on data without ever decrypting it. Normally, data has to be decrypted to be processed → which exposes it. With FHE, data stays encrypted before, during, and after computation. How it works(simplified): • Users encrypt data locally • Computation happens on encrypted inputs • Results remain encrypted • Only authorized parties can decrypt the output No node, validator, or smart contract ever sees the raw data. Why this matters for blockchains: • Private balances and trades • Sealed-bid auctions without sniping • Confidential governance and voting • Compliance without surveillance FHE doesn’t hide logic — it hides state, while keeping everything verifiable.
