There was a time I discovered that my life was in cycle and the Holy Ghost adviced me. He said “If you want to fulfill this destiny, better leave food alone.” The greatest of us fell either by food or the attraction to the opposite sex. You don't leave it, you become nothing! From 2012 to 2017, I fasted everyday from morning till night. Before the fasting ended, I exploded. Power that fasting activates is the power to rule in the realms of spirits. Spirits control the affairs of life, the earth realm is like a theatre, it's like a screen in the spirit realm. The real operation doesn't happen here, it only manifests here. Everything happening on earth is orchestrated in the realm of the spirit. So for a man to be a ruler in the natural world, he must be enthroned in the spirit realm and one of the ways to enter the corridors of power of the Spirit is by Fasting! Jesus called His disciples in Like chapter 10 and he said to them “Go, cast out devils” and they went on the strength of His word and they casted out demons and returned. They were celebrating because even the devils were subject to them. On another occasion, Jesus went to pray and the same disciples went to cast out demons and the evil spirits didn't leave. In Matthew 17, they came to ask Him why they couldn't cast the devil out and Jesus made a statement that I'll like to draw your attention to. “This kind goeth not but by prayer and fasting” There is a demon you will cast out because you have revelation and there's another demon that'll want to find out if there's a consecration backing this revelation. Because of there's no consecration backing this revelation, it means you're a talker. One of the consecration that demons score in the spirit to find ranking men is Fasting and Prayer. The Lord calls us to co-rule with Him but there are consecrations that make it happen. Fasting is a necessity. Fasting is a must. You can't escape it. Did you notice that Jesus the son of God walked in and out of the temple for 30 years and no demon saluted Him. But the Bible said in Matthew chapter 4:1 and also in Like 4:1, He was driven to the wilderness to be tempted of the devil and there, He fasted and prayed for 40 days and 40 nights. In Like 4:14, when Jesus was returning, it says He returned in the power of the Spirit and His fame went abroad. He entered the synagogue, and the Bible say that demons were crying out and asking him “why have you come here?” Let me ask you: is that the first day Jesus was showing up at the synagogue? Jesus needed to activate the power and it took days of prayers and fasting. ••• Your Christianity is going to be weak and frail if you don't give yourself to consecration! ______ Sermon by Apostle Orokpo Michael

Surrender everything, let God take care of you, and when you feel any degree of discomfort or fear, allow compassionate space for it without rushing to numb, suppress, or ignore. God is expanding you. If you can hold the faith and stay aligned as best you can, one day at a time, you will open the gates to receive blessings from God in ways and at levels you could never imagine.

When things finally start working out, let them. You stayed consistent when nothing was moving. You kept showing up when it made no sense to. You built something real while everyone around you was watching and waiting for you to quit. Now it's arriving and your first instinct is to shrink. To downplay it. To tell yourself you got lucky or it's not that serious. Stop doing that. You earned this. Stand in it like the man who built it.

One of the lessons about tough times is that it takes away fake friends.
