@JohnCleese if adjusted for PPP (purchasing power parity) the Russian economy is bigger than that of Japan or Germany. Electricity costs 6 times more in Germany than in Russia, petrol (gas) 2.5 times more and so on. One dollar buys much more in Russia than in Germany.
