Blessings, courage, service, nation-building — the words are always beautiful. The problem is that grand speeches mean very little when many people still measure leadership not by greetings, but by justice, freedom, dignity, and what actually changes in their daily lives. A new year message is easy. Building a country where criticism is safe, inequality is reduced, and power is accountable is the harder part. That is where real leadership is tested, not in ceremonial words.
