[Nintendo Switch 2 System Update] Version 22.0.0 adds "Handheld Mode Boost". This will make Switch 1 games think that they are in TV mode even when in handheld. Games can run at higher resolutions in TV mode, taking better advantage of the Switch 2's 1080p screen.

@ModernVintageG I agree. The game looked down right messy in handheld mode. I'd rather the game having a full-on upgrade pack, but Xenoblade X's situation made me reconsider it.

@MandeloreanThe @ModernVintageG Should be, it says it is running docked profile mode, and there is a warning about it impacting battery life. Bayo3 is running higher res now and 60fps locked, so it's pretty impressive in terms of performance for backwards compatibility.

@sjfostersound @Wario64 The YT video shows an uncapped 60fps framerate, but it's dropping some frames a bit; but it will likely run locked 60fps on Switch 2 with the processing boost it provides.

@MattWalshBlog Spot-on. I recognized this immediately as a teenager, that stoner culture is a cult. I enjoy it and alcohol every once in awhile, but recognize they both have major downsides when used regularly. Alcohol users have a much healthier & reality-based understanding of things.

One of the things that makes weed so dangerous is that its users have a totally fanciful, almost supernatural faith in the substance itself. Alcohol can be dangerous, but everyone who drinks alcohol knows that and will admit it. You'll never hear anyone argue that there are no dangers or downsides to alcohol. But most pot smokers honestly believe, or have convinced themselves, that there is no downside to their drug of choice. You can get high every day for 50 years and nothing bad will happen. There are no tradeoffs, they insist. Literally all of the data, all of the research, all of our experience, not to mention basic common sense, conflicts with this belief, but they don't care. The average pot smoker is much more likely to smoke in excess precisely because the whole mythology of pot is that there is no such thing as excess.
