Update 4/9/26 Good evening, Due to complications with reflux that are affecting her oxygen saturation levels, she has been admitted to the hospital once again for further evaluation and close monitoring. To bypass her stomach, they will place a feeding tube through her nose into her small intestines. This will allow them to test if the reflux will stop. Other tests will follow, but we don’t know what they will be yet. This is trial and error right now. The doctors believe that close observation will help us get some rest and not stress throughout the night because of her possible aspiration. This is a major concern because of her other conditions she’s been diagnosed with since being released from the NICU and PICU. Her conditions include: - Congenital heart condition (post-surgery care) - Chronic lung disease of prematurity - Feeding challenges (G-tube dependent) - Ongoing therapies and medical care We genuinely appreciate the love and support you’ve shown us during this incredibly difficult time. Initially, we thought surviving the NICU and PICU was the most challenging aspect, but the ongoing challenges and stresses associated with her conditions have proven to be even more taxing. @GatorsBreakdown @hightopsport @Hightop_Dave Thank you all for the continued support and shares. #gogators @CoachJonSumrall Update: We were admitted to the hospital 15 days ago for a simple gastrostomy tube procedure, as they had said. However, we had to go back and forth with the medical supply company and the doctors on release. Two days ago, we were supposed to be released with a pulse oximeter and an oxygen portable that only lasted for 3/4 hours. Unfortunately, it was only 1 1/2 hours from home, and we ended up being readmitted 4 hours later because her oxygen saturation dipped into the 70s. There seems to be a mix-up with orders from the hospital to the medical supply company. We’ve never used the oxygen before, and we didn’t have anyone to show us how to use it. Even the hospital didn’t know how to teach us because the medical supply company’s equipment is different. The medical supply company told the case manager that it would take 1-2 days for someone to come see us. To make matters worse, the 3/4 hours of oxygen weren’t enough for us to make it home in case we needed to stop or if we encountered traffic. So, they had to place additional orders for a portable oxygen concentrator. Now, the medical supply company is playing phone tag with the case manager. In addition to all of this, she’s been vomiting repeatedly, throwing up stomach acid, and has been experiencing continuous diarrhea. Update post surgery We can’t see her yet. Started the procedure they were able to complete the procedure. They had to put her under sedation. desaturation during anesthesia caused for her to be intubated to stabilize her for the procedure to be finished. She now is under close observation in the ICU they are worried if they try to extubate her she may desat again. They called a code blue for the procedure room during. They told us it wasn’t her so we wouldn’t rush in asking questions. Very overwhelming. Thank you all for everything things are so difficult right now for us. @GatorsBreakdown @CoachJonSumrall @Hightop_Dave @hightopsport @ali_peek GoFundMe: gofund.me/61d39a873 - Zelle: 5613359222 - Cash App: cash.app/$RobertDeMonte

So after MRI we find out my daughter has broken seven bones in her foot. Thankfully, no surgery, but another four weeks in a boot. Thanks to all who have reached out to ask about her wellbeing.

Update: 3/31/2026 Good morning everyone, I wanted to express my deepest gratitude for the generous donations and continuous prayers. SadieLynn was finally released from the PICU last Tuesday after a grueling two weeks. Since then, she has undergone consultations with both the Gastroenterologist and the Pulmonologist. Sadielynn had been experiencing severe reflux, and the GI doctor suspected a milk allergy. Consequently, we had to change her formula for the third time, hoping it would help her tolerate it better. However, after seeing her Pulmonologist, we discovered that Sadielynn has chronic lung disease of prematurity, commonly known as bronchiopulmonary dysplasia. This condition makes her lungs susceptible to frequent infections. We were informed that the first two years of her life are crucial for her recovery. Her doctor has advised against enrolling her in daycare and/or being in largely crowded areas due to her fragile condition. The Pulmonologist also explained that whenever she refluxes, some of the stomach contents enter her lungs, which could potentially lead to the need for a Gtube to GJ tube change. This would require a surgical procedure to insert a J tube port on the opposite side of her stomach, allowing the feed to bypass her stomach and directly enter her small intestine. Given her cardiac defect, it’s essential that we continue monitoring her pulmonary stenosis, as it directly impacts her lungs. This journey ahead will undoubtedly be challenging, but Sadielynn continues to inspire us with her remarkable strength and resilience. We genuinely appreciate the love and support you’ve shown us during this incredibly difficult time. While we initially believed that surviving the NICU was the most challenging aspect, the ongoing challenges and stresses associated with her condition have proven to be even more taxing. - GoFundMe: gofund.me/61d39a873 - Zelle: 5613359222 - Cash App: cash.app/$RobertDeMonte @hightopsport @GatorsBreakdown @CoachJonSumrall #26weeks #nicugrad #5months #picugrad #2weeks #fighter #gogators #Gatornation Thank you to all the gator family and friends the helps been amazing the shares everything. @GatorsBreakdown @Swolder @hightopsport @CoachJonSumrall @ali_peek 🙏🏻 Update : 3/19/2026 it’s been a slow process with ups and downs she went all the way up to 8 liters , 55% oxygen on 3/16/2026. As of this morning she down to 2 liters, 30% oxygen. They think in the next couple days if things keep going the way they are she could possibly go home on oxygen. UPDATE : 3/14/2026 She was diagnosed with Human metapneumovirus (HMPV) upper and lower respiratory infections. So far that’s as much as we know. She’s stable doing okay right now. Thankful for that. This is a challenging situation. We’ve been home for three weeks now. On Thursday, March 5, 2026, we visited the hospital due to complications with her g-tube and a fever. The area around her g-tube appeared red and puffy. They took X-rays and said everything looked good, so we were allowed to go home. Fast forward to March 11, 2026, and overnight, her pulse oximeter sensor dropped below 80% multiple times throughout the night but would return to normal. We reached out to her g-tube surgeon about the granulated tissue and irritation around the site. They advised us to meet at the hospital for a closer check-up. On March 12, 2026, we went to meet. During the process, she started having breathing difficulties and a fever of 103.5 degrees Fahrenheit. We rushed her to the hospital, where they reviewed everything and fixed her g-tube. They believed acid reflux was causing the irritation, but that wasn’t the main concern. Her breathing and oxygen levels were consistently in the low 90s, sometimes even in the 80s. The enzymes test for her heart came back high, which could suggest heart failure. As a result, she was admitted to the hospital. We are now on the journey of getting out of the PICU. Thank you all for your unwavering support during this difficult time. Update: March 15, 2026 She is stable, but she continues to have breathing difficulties. To assist her lungs, they are administering a steroid. They are still extracting a significant amount of secretions from her lungs. Her oxygen flow is currently at 5.0 liters, with 40% oxygen. They will closely monitor her condition day by day. Just thankful she’s so strong. - GoFundMe: gofund.me/61d39a873 - Zelle: 3868372501 - Cash App: cash.app/$RobertDeMonte
