This all started with FNAF, and yet, the internet and indie game developers completely misunderstand the first two games. The scary elements wasn’t the cutesy mascots. It was the ambiance, and the feeling of dread as you’re fending off a gang of machines Pac-Man style. 1/3

I get that it’s a bad ending, but honestly compared to what would come later during this era, this was a harmless “annoy Squidward day” episode. SpongeBob and Patrick aren’t as insufferable compared to say, Cephalopod Lodge, which was a worse version of this episode
