「Steamは検閲している」と、メーカーから声明。ホラーゲームの紹介画像(写真参照)が性的と言う理由でSteamから承認拒否。運営からは「女性の後ろ姿に焦点を当てた画像は、彼女がどんな服装をしていようとも、性的な性質を持つものです。」と言う理解し難い理由が伝えられています。これに対してメーカーは「これがゲーム業界の検閲の実態」「Steamが後から基準を変更するのに価値はあるのか」と問題提起する声明を発出し、他のプラットフォームへの移動を示唆。最近、頻繁に報告されているこうしたケースが7月の規約変更（クレジットカードブランドをはじめとする決済事業者の認めないものはNG）の影響を受けているかは不明ですが、単純な「メーカーの準備不足」ではないと言う認識は広がっています。
