I am delighted to have finally received my copy of the thought-provoking volume Mapping the Future of Afghanistan, to which I had the privilege of contributing a chapter titled: “Women, Violence and Law: A Critical Analysis of Women's Rights in Afghanistan.” In this chapter, I employ a legal feminist methodology to explore gender power relations and the complex interplay between socio-cultural norms and law in Afghanistan.
