This what I be talking about. You literally have no context yet are still trying to make a point💀 All of this stemmed from an author trying to police fans that were having their own discussions and fanmade theories about the location of the characters based on assets she used...

People jumping in now are missing years of context. Some who lived through it are rewriting the ugliest parts bc her public jabs gave their ship-driven vitriol a cleaner excuse. Years of ugly behavior over a fictional character still happened, even if the author’s attitude made them feel justified afterward. This is still just bl, so I don’t condone threats toward any creator. I haven’t seen those posts, but if you have, drop the link(s) so it can be reported. Criticizing an author’s public behavior is a separate conversation. Headcanons are normal fandom behavior. She told readers to interpret freely, built the story with ambiguity, repeated cues, red herrings & crumbs, then called headcanons rumors when future sales & attention were back on the table. Not every reader from that side played into it. Plenty saw her attitude too. The post still catered to the ones who only needed an eg & a few crumbs to keep spending on her & fighting for her. She said she doesn’t really read what people say but a reader theory still ended up mocked inside the story. Weeks later, the Chicago headcanon got treated like a public offense instead of a normal bl interpretation. Professional clarification could’ve been a note. She chose another public jab. Out of everything she could have addressed, this theory that most people never even believed in. Premade backgrounds are normal. Readers are criticizing the pattern around them, not the assets themselves. The dream theory is the clear example: she put a reader theory into the work as a joke, and both sides recognized it. So when she later called the Chicago headcanon a rumor, it didn’t land like a simple clarification. Readers had already seen her poke at theories instead of addressing them professionally. Everyone kept telling readers to move on, and she told them to get a hobby, but two months later she was the one bringing a barely believed headcanon back into the conversation when attention was back on the story. If the same cycle starts again around future volumes, preorders or side content, I won’t be shocked. Fandom conflict has been useful before. People can like the story, defend the story or disagree with criticism. Finishing a story doesn’t erase how the author handled the fandom around it. She stayed silent while readers were attacked, said nothing when a reader tried to organize an event with a charity donation and never tried to calm the arguments she watched grow. When she did speak, it was to mock, scold or throw fuel on it, then delete after the damage was done.

Hello everyone, It's me again. I would like to announce that I will be cancelling the entire LED support project, "For My Beloved, Joseph & Ian," with the exception of the donation to Thuong Fund, which will still go ahead as planned. To be honest, the reason for this decision comes down to Doyak, the creator of Wet Sand. I feel deeply saddened that discussions and theories based on panels and dialogue from the story - things that were created and shared by the author herself - could apparently become a source of discomfort and stress to the point where fans are told to simply move on. I am a fan of Joseph and Ian. They are Doyak's creations, but they are also a source of joy and happiness for me. So I've decided to move on as well - move on and out of the author's sight. This project truly meant a lot to me. I wanted to meet fellow fans, spend time with everyone, and share our love for these characters together. But knowing that simply talking about the couple I love, sharing a few headcanons, or showing a little support could result in being singled out by the author is something I can no longer handle. Thank you to everyone who stopped by. Thank you for listening to me. And thank you, Joseph and Ian, for being so wonderful.
