@GenTXer2 Great album from one of my favourite bands. Definitely on my list.
English

@GenTXer2 Fantastic album, their first 4 albums are all 10/10. I like Paranoid slightly more but both are masterpieces.
English

@GenTXer2 Fantastic album. Although it’s their 3rd album it was the 1st to be commercially successful. I remember when I first heard this album it sounded like nothing I’d heard before. They began a run of 4 great albums with this one. Absolutely love it.

@GenTXer2 @AlphenMatthias Great song, underrated band. They do another fantastic cover of Springsteen’s song “Spirits In The Night.”

70s Song I Love 💕
Manfred Mann’s Earth Band “Blinded By The Light”
My brain knows it’s “revved up like a deuce” but my ears hear “wrapped up like a douche”
(recommended by my friend @AlphenMatthias)

@RockNRoLL_85 One of the all time best live albums. The most amazing thing is at the time it may have seemed like he was at his peak but yet he had such an incredible amount of great music yet to come.
English

@GenTXer2 Love Jimmy one of my absolute favourites! He has a ton of great songs I love but I’ll say “Changes In Latitudes, Changes In Attitudes.”
English

@GenTXer2 No. I like Zappa a lot and love his Overnight Sensation album but not top 70 for me. He was brilliant.
English

@GenTXer2 Night At The Opera - Queen followed by Tapestry - Carole King and Parallel Lines - Blondie. If your Seger choice was Night Moves then that would be highest for me.
English

@GenTXer2 I’d say Deep Purple Machine Head is the biggest omission as it’s an absolutely iconic and hugely influential album. My personal choice would be Joe Jackson Look Sharp. Exodus, Montrose, Tres Hombres, Billion Dollar Babies would all make my list.
English

@GenTXer2 @BillsTVTalk Love this album. This album was all over the airwaves back in the day and the videos were in heavy heavy rotation on MTV. Fond memories of seeing tons of their videos in the student lounge in college.

My morning album with ☕️
Huey Lewis & The News: Sports (1983)
This album is so familiar that I know which song is coming up next.
(recommended for my 80 albums of the 80s by @BillsTVTalk)

@GenTXer2 Great choice. Seems almost mandatory to include one of their albums in your top 70. For me I’d agree this is probably their best overall album from the 70s.
English

@GenTXer2 This album is when Petty first came onto my radar and think it’s the same for many people. Fantastic album arguably his best.
English

@GenTXer2 No!!! I actually don’t mind the song. Despite the total cheesiness the vocal/harmonies are good and it’s catchy. Disco Duck” by Rick Dees is probably my choice or “The Streak” by Ray Stevens. Duck is completely unlistenable while Streak was at least sort of funny the first time.
English

@GenTXer2 Can’t disagree, strong album. I personally prefer the debut album.
English

@GenTXer2 @FrankJReilly1 Fabulous song, impossible not to sing a long and/or tap your toes/dance.
