No one guarded someone as soon as they step over half court until curry. When regular people think of the 3-ball, they think curry. If you shoot from half court, people will say “you tryna be curry”.

Also there are only 450 NBA players. The premier league has about 75 more. So NBA does have a smaller pool and you need the body type to even sniff the league.
