In Germany, a woman noticed that her cat started sleeping on her neck every night. The cat had never done this before, and she couldn’t understand why.
After some time, she developed a mild swelling on her neck and went to see a doctor. She was told it could be angioedema. Some nights the swelling would disappear completely, other nights it would be much milder.
While researching, she learned that a cat’s purring (25–150 Hz) produces low frequency vibrations that are associated with tissue healing and relaxation, and may also help by keeping the area warm and supporting blood circulation.
And now she started to look at her cat’s nightly habit in a completely different way. Cats are definitely aware of things we don’t easily notice💖🫠
