Sapphire weapon "defied it's fate" like Wedge, by using their knowledge of the "OG Timeline".
Sapphire dodged the cannon fire bcz it knew what was coming & Wedge brought along a grappling gun to not go splat by falling from the pillar😌

@theshenami Yeah, I doubt they going to keep any puzzle elements either.
It will be rather straightford & gameplay regardless of the particular area will not be TOO deep IMO.
It will mainly serve as a warm up zone, so I suspect for at least the start, this area will be "ON THE RAILS".

@6LEG6ION6 There was virtually no story development in either Great Glacier or Gaea's Cliff in OG, so I kinda expect we'll spend little to no time there. Of course, the 10 people who deeply loved the floating ice and body temp minigames will be disappointed.

I think chapter 1/2will be to Icicle Inn & then to NC.
Chapter 2/3 possibly picking up once Tifa wakes up.
I doubt we will spend much time in the Great Glacier

Naoki Hamaguchi says you acquire the Highwind about 5-6 hours into Final Fantasy VII Revelation. This gives you immediate access to about half of the world map. Also, Chadley's base is inside the Highwind. He is doing research on Meteor. Source: Giant Bomb

@6LEG6ION6 They've said that before, yeah. There was definitely an interview where DoC was asked about, and that said it's possible but it'd have to be after Part 3 because it would be a spoiler, basically.

& Yes it's the 1st thing that popped into my mind as soon as the interviewer asked the question & he responded with "other side stories or stories of characters or other parts of story as well"

For those that think we start after the escape from Junon.
No issues either way conceptually, though I do want to know how you guys think they will handle character levels, equipment & materia for the Icicle Inn onwards ? Bcz it is very different to the Nibelheim flashback

@theshenami Fwiw, Hamaguchi has already confirmed that we get it 5-6 hours into the game, so most likely, we are getting NC first & seems fairly well paced too

@6LEG6ION6 It has since morphed into what I've described elsewhere, but tbh I still prefer my initial idea because it still allows the game to open on the central conflict without requiring speed running the events leading up to NC.

Ppl were whining that Tifa getting more screen time in Rebirth="fanservice".
The same ppl hoping Aerith will have screen time in disc 2 & 3 🤔.
Anyways, that "fanservice" ended up being Gongaga(new weapons plot) & continued in Revelation;
I hope Tifa gets more this "fanservice"
