🚨 KABOOM! Democrat Rep Sheila Cherfilus-McCormick, who claimed she was being targeted because she’s black, the House Ethics Committee just found that she committed over $5 million in allegedly stolen FEMA funds, which she in part used in part to buy a $109,000, 3.14-carat yellow diamond ring.
The federal indictment specifically alleges she used part of the funds to buy a 3.14-carat yellow diamond ring for $109,000 (via a cashier’s check in September 2021). This ring closely matches the prominent yellow diamond visible in her earlier official House portrait (which she later edited in some social media posts to remove or obscure it).
She could face up to 53 years in prison.
