I’m Alex Vindman and I’m running for the U.S. Senate. Chaos, corruption and sky-rocketing costs are crushing ordinary people, while the billionaires and career politicians profit. While working families in Florida struggle to make ends meet, this administration, aided and abetted by Ashley Moody, is choosing to use our taxpayer dollars to subsidize a reckless and dangerous war.

Carol Kitman was an amazing person. In 1980––just months after our arrival to the U.S., as refugees from the Soviet Union––she all but adopted me and Eugene and remained part of our lives for nearly 50 years. She and her wonderful husband Marvin were there at all of our major life events. They were precious to the entire Vindman family. We loved them and Carol will be very missed. The Cuban people deserve better than to be treated as a bargaining chip in the administration’s manufacturing of their next ‘political win.’ I stand with the people of Cuba, and will always support their fight for freedom. But real freedom will come from the intentional dismantling of oppressive institutions, not simply replacing one Castro regime figurehead with another. The Cuban people deserve true freedom, not the political games of wealthy elites.

Former Army JAG here. No quarter orders are a violation of the law of war and Geneva conventions. This is the same order reportedly given during the Caribbean boat strikes. @SecWar is establishing a pattern of issuing illegal orders. I’ve trained hundreds of soldiers on the law of war — our service members have an obligation to follow that law.

This Trump tweet is a work of art and needs to be kept for posterity. It turns out that the US has destroyed 100% of Iran’s military capability. Yet, to combat a military with no capability he is left pleading with allies he has regularly insulted to save him in the Gulf.

The War in Iran is driving up prices, putting our soldiers in harm's way, and making America less safe. Floridians need a Senator that serves as a check on this president's recklessness, not a rubber stamp like Ashley Moody.
