@76WhitePanda @BrettSiegelNBA I think the point is why tank for a 8% chance or 3% chance instead of 14% chance a 20 win team is no better than a 41 win team so the nba is just like go play basketball whoever gets it gets it. They’ll probably rig it anyway no bad team is getting a top 3 pick this year watch

Maybe I am wrong, but how does flattening the lottery odds for the bottom 10 teams stop tanking?
So now, instead of a small group of 5-6 teams, you are allowing teams in the middle with either no playoff intention or wanting a chance at a top pick to lose.
This won't work.

If you sacrifice your (very small) title chance for 8% instead of 3%, you should get banned from the league. The league is cooked otherwise

@76WhitePanda @BrettSiegelNBA The 8% is to say if a team wins 10 games you still have an 8% chance no higher than a team that wins 41 games so you better try and you’ll waist a season… it’s anyone’s game to get the 1st pick absolutely no guarantee you can tank if you want you might end up with the 9th pick

If teams care more about 8% (long term prayer) rather than a chance at the championship that year (short term prayer), it just goes to show how there is no true fix for tanking.
Not a perfect solution, but i like it (hoping teams go for a chance the win the Chip)
