Happy International Women’s Day! The Literacy Council was founded in 1977 by 6 women in Glen Burnie who offered local adult literacy tutoring. Today, the majority of our students & volunteers are women. We celebrate everything women do to make the world a better place for all!💙

Last year, our volunteers donated more than 18,000 hours in Anne Arundel County, providing adult education in communities where help is needed most.
