My paternal grandmother taught me to crochet as a kid, but I was never great at it just because of my tension. Still, I'm handy, and it means I get to pick up that skill once a year now to crochet hats for an outreach ministry and that's enough.

Bless the emoji react option on gmail. Yeah, it's great for acknowledging a thing, but it's also a good way to keep me from really saying what I think when that is maybe not appropriate.

As I sit here working on a structurally complicated writing task, I'm realizing I have been having recurring nightmares about not writing some kind of required honors thesis/paper. I finished my MA almost 10 years ago...

@AmyClukey About 9 years ago I referenced Rebel Girl by Bikini Kill to my intro women’s studies class and got zero recognition so I feel like your odds aren’t great.

Pulled this on in the dark this morning and then couldn’t understand why I was getting so many weird looks on my run.

I know I get screened by students but this is the longest annual eye exam I have ever experienced. Also, I seem to have developed an astigmatism.

I talked to people for three hours this morning from 8am to 11pm (therapy at 9 sandwiched by church meetings) and I've consumed an entire pot of coffee. but no food.

@weischoice Anyway, I was still working a morning day camp job where I would sweat all morning and that dog sitting was worth it for the air conditioning alone.

@weischoice It was unfortunately dog sitting, but in college I used to watch this small dog for a week or two every summer in a lovely house where they would feed me and there was air conditioning and they paid me very well. My normal apt was a boiling basement space at my grandmother’s.

Cat-sitting for fancy people is honestly such a traveling hack. I'm staying in a gorgeous apartment in Cambridge, MA for free in exchange for barely anything.

Omg listening to #AHIAS and they’re suddenly remembering about Whole Foods samples and hearing @gwynnstu recall going there in ATL means I need to know if she ever encountered the Chuice sample guy???!

so I waited 13 months for this appt because it’s one of the premier autonomic specialists in the country & that also means I didn’t get the horrifying up to 45 minute tilt table with the potential for added drugs. Mine was 10 mins with a chill brain blood flow Doppler instead.

I am having a tilt table test today (among other things) and Tree asked me if it was going to be like that time in House, MD when he turned the table up to warp speed.

@hapax_hell I do feel like if you don’t do the live show when you’re sufficiently young it just kinda falls apart. I got the crappy “virgin” nonsense out of the way as a HSer at an amateur community production so when I saw it in college with a regular cast I didn’t have to deal with that.
