Nobody cares about or watches these female superhero movies. I think there’s been maybe one that didn’t flop this century. Female led action films in general are almost always a dud. There’s no audience for it. Nobody wants to see some 105 pound girlboss action hero. It’s a comedically absurd premise, and there’s no getting around that. The studios are of course aware of this market reality. Yet they keep churning these out anyway because they’ll willingly lose money for the sake of pandering to women who want these movies to exist in principle but don’t actually care to watch them. That’s how female-centric our society has become.

Women cannot write heroism. The ideas of duty, honor and bravery that underscore heroism are masculine traits. Women can try to mimic those things but it will be done poorly. It's why when these actresses are asked about the character they portray, the conversation quickly devolves into activism and female empowerment. You cannot explain well, something you've never experienced in your life, so you start talking about the message you've been fed instead. Men have to show bravery, duty is thrust upon them from the moment they're born and honor has to be earned. These are lived experiences. If you want good super hero movies, then you need ppl...men...who actually understand heroism at the helm. That also excludes weak men like Gunn who constantly try to subvert heroism in an attempt to appease the feminine. Ppl like him who were raised in a very feminine environment, in an industry captured by ideology, cannot tell these stories.

These targeted hits on the league’s biggest star have gone on way too long. Enough is enough. Suspensions NOW for player safety and game integrity. Clark carries the spotlight – give her fair play, not cheap shots. Refs failing again. Fans are fed up. WNBA, do better! (Video: AI)
