Annetta Works Salley | Sacred Voice & Legacy
@ANNETTAspeaks
I create sacred spaces for women and girls to remember their voice and move with purpose. Faith • Reflection • Community If this speaks to you, stay.

What eggs have you been sitting on? That idea must be hatched. Or it will go bad. It may be hard for an egg to turn into a bird: it would be a jolly sight harder for it to learn to fly while remaining an egg. We are like eggs at present. And you cannot go on indefinitely being just an ordinary, decent egg. We must be hatched or go bad. - C. S. Lewis

Guess what? The most important skill i have ever learned from @Toastmasters is not public speaking. It's ACTIVE LISTENING. And it's a game changer. Learn with me @Toastmasters19. We are a hybrid club and you can join via ZOOM.

Your PowerPoint must be seen clearly by the back row of your audience. Run your slideshow full screen on your computer & watch it from 8 to 10 feet away. If your text, pictures, & graphics can’t be seen easily, revisit your design. #PublicSpeaking #PainlessPublicSpeaking

Dominique Dawes made history in 1996 in Atlanta as the first Black woman to win an individual Olympic medal in gymnastics. Thirty years later, she’s back in the same metro area making history yet again. This time, opening a 20,000-square-foot academy in Alpharetta designed to train and protect the next generation. From the city where she cemented her legacy to the community she’s now pouring into, this is bigger than a gym. It’s about access. It’s young girls walking into a space where excellence finally looks like them. This isn’t just about gymnastics. It’s about belonging. Because Black girls deserve safe spaces in sports. What do you think this will mean for the future of gymnastics? 🖤
