Carrick was in front of me for the majority of the game yesterday. I didn’t hear him once. He barely moved either. A lot of respect for Carrick as a club legend and also as a man. I grew up watching and admiring him and that’s not changed. But this isn’t the direction I want to go in and I say that with no disrespect. But the club comes first. It’s not the result. It’s not the way we crumbled yesterday. It’s the accumulating poor performances since the early promising spell against City and Arsenal and the feeling that we need a more experienced, alpha coach who is unafraid to assert himself and his style. Carrick’s time has seen us defending a lot better. But defending well and grinding out results is only good enough to see through the season. We need a manager, not a coach, to elevate this team.

Few minutes later, Bournemouth was awarded a penalty from a similar offense with Harry Maguire sent off. • 2 Points Dropped!!! — Man United Vs Leeds United Leny Yoro was clearly fouled by Dominic Calvert-Lewin in the build up to the goal but it was checked and cleared by VAR. Another ludicrous decision by the officials. Lisandro Martinez and DCL had a tussle which we have seen countless times in the league and other leagues too, yet Lisandro got a red for that which was similar to DCM foul on Yoro at the start of the game • 3 points Lost!!! The Premier League need to look into this decisions and do better as we head towards latter stages of the campaign!

Mason Mount not playing a single minute after returning from injury is of extreme concern to me. He's earning around £150k per week, but that's only with the Champions League 25% reduction. Ultimately you've got a £200k player salary sitting there watching along with the rest of us. That's a salary you have next to no chance of moving this summer costing you £10m in wages per season. If he isn't going to play serious minutes in a scenario like that, with the midfield threadbare, chasing the game & goals, when is he going to?
