Day one of @APBC2025 was a fantastic demonstration of Australian agricultural research and innovation. @MU_CCFI_Biotech researchers showcased how we're contributing to the advancement of plant breeding practices, with CCFI Director @rajvarshney delivering a presentation on 'Enhancing genetic gains in pulses, wheat, and horticultural crops through advanced genomics and AI-driven breeding approaches'. @RGRCopeland discussed his work on 'Haplotype-resolved reference genome assemblies for papaya: towards decoding the genetics of sex determination', and @RutwikBarmukh presenting a talk titled 'Haplotype-based breeding for developing high-yielding and drought tolerant chickpea varieties for Australian environments'. Great presentations from all involved, and we're looking forward to hearing from more outstanding researchers on Day 2!
