On the International Day of Islamic Art, which is on November 18th every year, we celebrate the beauty of Islamic arts that combine strength, creativity and innovation. These arts whose details are reflected in architecture, decorations, Arabic calligraphy and handicrafts.

On Sunday, November 17, 2024, the Arab Regional Centre for World Heritage in Manama launched a training workshop on reviewing the tentative list of the World Heritage Convention for Yemen.

حفل ختام مسابقة الأفلام القصيرة "حكاية أثر" ___ “My Heritage” short-film competition closing ceremony. #myheritage #arcwh

My Heritage Short Film Competition concluded its third edition, with the closing ceremony held at the end of last October in the Asir region of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. . The winning films were films by young people from: Yemen, Tunisia, Palestine, Syria, Lebanon and Egypt.

أسدلت مسابقة حكاية أثر للأفلام القصيرة الستار على نسختها الثالثة، حيث أقيم حفل الختام نهاية شهر أكتوبر الماضي في منطقة عسير بالمملكة السعودية. وفازت فيها أفلام شباب من كل من: اليمن، تونس، فلسطين، سوريا، لبنان ومصر.

On the sidelines of the 3rd edition of My Heritage Competition Sheikh Ebrahim Al Khalifa, Deputy Director of the Arab Regional Centre for World Heritage, met with a number of officials from the Asir branch of the Heritage Commission in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

In Aseer, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the final stage of the short film competition My Heritage, is being held, with the participation of the winners of the competition, as they work to produce a film about the traditional crafts present in Aseer.

في منطقة عسير بالمملكة العربية السعودية، تقام المرحلة النهائية لمسابقة الأفلام القصيرة حكاية أثر، بمشاركة الفائزين في المسابقة، حيث يعملون على إنتاج فيلم حول الحرف التقليدية المتواجدة في عسير، وسيتم عرض الفيلم خلال حفل الختام والتكريم نهاية شهر أكتوبر الجاري.

The capacity building for preparing nomination files for natural and mixed World Heritage sites in Sudan concluded its activities in Cairo, Egypt.

اختتمت ورشة العمل المتخصصة حول بناء القدرات على إعداد ملفات الترشيح لمواقع التراث العالمي الطبيعي والمختلط في جمهورية السودان، أعمالها في العاصمة المصرية القاهرة.

The Arab Regional Centre for World Heritage participated in the international meeting organised by UNESCO in Paris, France. The meeting focused on improving international coordination and the effectiveness of responses to protect cultural heritage in emergency situations.

شارك المركز الإقليمي العربي للتراث العالمي في الاجتماع الدولي الذي أقيم بتنظيم من منظمة اليونسكو في مقرها بالعاصمة الفرنسية باريس يوم الإثنين الموافق 30 سبتمبر 2024 حول تحسين التنسيق الدولي وفعالية الاستجابة لحماية التراث الثقافي في حالات الطوارئ.
