BREAKING: The College of Letters and Science (L&S) has announced an extension of the late change deadline to 12/11 and important changes to P/NP policy. The ASUC Office of Academic Affairs will continue to advocate for optional P/NP with all other UG colleges.

If you, as a university, are having panels/discussions about the future of online/remote learning that don’t have student panelists/representatives, then you’re doing things wrong.

In an effort to achieve a compromise on the IREF, campus vice chair of student affairs Stephen Sutton said that the Chancellor’s Advisory Committee on Student Services and Fees met with senior campus leadership through the spring semester to lower the fees dailycal.org/2022/07/18/stu…

We will continue to fight back against the administration's attempts to offload core instructional costs onto students. The IREF is costly, undemocratic and contrary to the university's public mission. We must now lay the groundwork to prevent its renewal in 5 years.

As a result of months-long advocacy, @theASUC, @BerkeleyGA and Committee on Student Fees decreased the cost of the administration's "Instructional Resilience and Enhancement Fee" by $50 per student per year, resulting in $5 million in savings for students over the next 3 years.

While previous policy/advocacy experience is welcome, it is by no means necessary — anyone is welcome to apply, *especially* first-years and transfers!!! We have a variety of open positions, including some that receive stipends. Learn more and apply at tinyurl.com/aavp-apply-22
