@TxSoilFert This is a great example to show that we have more to do to understand how cover crops are using soil available water before row crops! Cover crops may not be the answer for more water infiltration in hot and dry environments. So glad that you are digging into this topic!

This picture demonstrates that water savings by a cover crop is not enough to offset the water usage by the cover crop prior to termination. A team of scientists are working hard to find the best regenerative cotton practices. #regencotton #NIFAimpacts
