@LillyLionHearts @heyimposh I think Tappei called it the most important arc simply because most of the characters in it are central to the story and future versions of the 400 y.o. OG group: Flugel -> Subaru, Satella -> Emilia, Reid -> Reinhardt, Farsale -> Felt.

One of the worst tropes in Re:Zero. Teleportation. Teleportation everywhere. All the time. Why do characters (especially Subaru), have to get teleported all the damn time? And I know for a lot of them there are good reasons, but it still feels like lazy writing to me.

I might be reaching but this teleport mechanism really reminded me of the exact same one from the Sanctuary. So I think it's safe to assume Echidna had a hand in building these doors, or maybe even Satella's seal. Let's not forget that Subaru got isekai'd/teleported...
