Junto con @ACADESAN, el FISCH lideró una visita a la comunidad de Negría, en la subregión del San Juan, llevando a la @AECIDColombia directamente a los territorios donde la vida resiste, con Acadesan como anfitrión en su territorio. Durante el encuentro, las y los líderes de los consejos comunitarios locales de San Miguel, Isla Cruz, Doidó y Fugiado, tomaron la palabra, con valentía y dignidad compartieron sus vivencias en medio del conflicto armado: el dolor del desplazamiento forzado y, al mismo tiempo, la enorme resiliencia que han tejido colectivamente para sostener la vida en sus territorios. Hoy, Negría y San Miguel se han convertido en refugio para otras comunidades. Desde allí, han levantado su propia economía basada en sus productos, sus saberes y su relación con la tierra. Eso es resiliencia comunitaria en su expresión más auténtica. Esta es la apuesta del FISCH: fortalecer los procesos organizativos territoriales y acercar la cooperación internacional a quienes siguen enfrentando, día a día, las consecuencias de la violencia armada. Para que el mundo vea y reconozca lo que estas comunidades construyen, a pesar de todo.

Smithey Fellowship for Equity and Accountability in International Development provided support to eight advocates who work to make development finance more accountable. The fellowship was created to honor the legacy of Sandra Smithey, whose work for the Mott Foundation had focused on amplifying frontline voices that champion transparent and accountable approaches to development finance. A new Accountability Note traces the journeys of the eight Smithey fellows. Looking across the design and implementation of the fellowship, authors Rachel Nadelman, PhD and Anushka Bose draw out a series of key lessons about how a modest amount of flexible funding—grounded in trust, autonomy and solidarity—can enable progress towards accountability and enable advocates to define and pursue their own paths in building durable movements for justice. Pero José Luis Carillo afirma que la influencia de CONMECOOP no debe medirse por las cifras. Su verdadera fuerza reside en la creación de organizaciones duraderas y en el desarrollo de modelos de gestión pesquera que otras regiones puedan adoptar de forma realista. «Tenemos que cuidar el medio ambiente para aprovechar nuestros recursos, ¿no? But José Luis Carillo says that CONMECOOP's influence shouldn't be measured by numbers. Its real strength lies in building organizations that last and in developing fisheries management models that other regions can realistically adopt. "We have to care for the environment to take advantage of our resources, don't we? .. What we have done is build bridges by having alliances with [environmental] NGOs, with those regions of the government whose agenda is parallel to ours. Together, we have built models of harvesting and fisheries management that are an example for the country."
