@PlamoDaddy the best MS combat in all of Gundam was the Gouf vs. EZ8 fight in 08th MS Team. Funnels are boring, show me pilots pushing themselves and their machines to their limits in a grounded and relatable place that really sells the scale and power of their suits. Space ballet is lame.

@PyramidInu I mean I saw both types when I got to mecha, Reddit, Youtube, Twitter I didn't use much, so I kinda just isolated myself from most of it. I guess I had a stroke of bad luck then, or was in the wrong places.

@AcidentalHeart it's just odd because this is the exact opposite of the mecha discussion I see (at least in the last like, ten years). i'm sure those people are out there, but they are never popping up on any of my feeds.

I will never forgive mecha fandom for turning Gurren Lagann discourse into yet another neverending mantra of "x show did it first!!"

@PyramidInu But I do try not to involve myself when I realize what people bias are, just commenting I did see that multiple times and is one of the reasons I don't interact with mecha discussion, if changed since I stopped I can't say much.
