@BlerpleTouple In UEFA, Sweden qualified without winning a World Cup qualifier in their group - basically qualified by beating a series of lower ranked teams in Nations League. Meanwhile, Italy didn't just lose against a team ranked 71st in the world, they got comprehensively outplayed.

@CoybigC I watch all of CONMEBOL and a bit of everything else. The average difficulty of each match in UEFA is way easier than in CONMEBOL. It is way more forgiving than CAF where there is little room for error. Sweden qualified without winning a WCQ match until the last week ffs.

No one in Europe should complain about the #WorldCup slots the rest of the world gets. DR Congo finished second to AFCON champions Senegal and their playoff route meant they had to beat Cameroon, Nigeria, and Jamaica. Iraq played 21 matches and lost only three times.

Going to bed...a reminder that nobody should have any sympathy for Italy. It's actually beyond inept that they've failed to qualify for the World Cup 3 times in a row. They have one of the top leagues in the world ffs. Compared to most of the world, they are very resource-rich.
