Siena was extremely undermanned. You lose these games early by trying to steal a few minutes without your good players. Those guys fought their butts off and were going to be running on adrenaline regardless.

On the subbing question: Siena had seven scholarship players available. The two off the bench were both freshmen who shoot 35% or worse from the field. A 90-second breather wouldn't have magically made anyone on Siena any less tired down the stretch. G-Mac played it right.
