Wisconsin athletics will now receive $14.6M annually from the state. The money is specified for debt service, but it frees up other funds to be used for athlete payroll. This legislation “recognizes Wisconsin Athletics' role as an economic engine for the state.”

Made it to spring ball today. Even with all the changes, the Iowa State alumni brotherhood built across every era never wavers. Still feels like home. Got me thinking about this fall, packing the Jack together as fans. A lot to look forward to. The program is in great hands

Fun stat: Iowa State could have scored zero points in the second half and still won today. Cyclones ended the first half with 45 points, and Arizona State scored 42 points in the game.

This season is as good a reminder as any that there is zero justification of expanding the NCAA Tournament. 68 is more than enough. Evidence: We have seen THIRTEEN teams in the bubble conversation lose games in the past 24 hours. Appalling!

Not one of the 387 questions from my kids today was: Dad….can I ask you a question….why would ANYONE suggest the tournament field should expand when the bubble is this impossibly lousy? But, it would have been a great question if they did.

It's going to be weird not seeing @TaminLipsey on the court at Hilton. He's been a great Cyclone and I've enjoyed seeing him interact with my kids at youth basketball camps. Our family will forever be fans, but the year isn't over. Keep winning so we can keep cheering for you.
