@shanedKeck @WWU @wwufootball I would agree. Great rivalry between Western and Central!! Give the athletes in the state more opportunities to play college football, develop life long relationships and earn a degree.

@Djwilson @CoachReedLive It’s called burnout!!! People don’t realize how much time and energy it takes to be a head football coach. Summer training, fundraising, dealing with athletes wanting to leave, year around weight room and feeling the pressure to win. It takes it toll!!

Coach @CoachReedLive would say “there are more HC positions than there are candidates ready to be a HC.” Very true. And the delta there means burnout for many HCs. Schools, ADs, programs need to nurture, support young HCs so they can stick around and develop great young people.

Being a head football coach is a year around job. We are only “paid” for the actual season. I love what I do but that’s just the truth.
